Eze 15:6-7, 20:47-48, 22:18-22, Rev 18:8 | ESV | STEP | Therefore thus says the Lord God : Like the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest , which I have given to the fire for fuel , so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem .

6 Therefore thus says the Lord God: ^aLike the wood of the vine among the trees of the forest, ^bwhich I have given to the fire for fuel, so have I given up the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 7 ^cAnd I will set my face against them. Though ^dthey escape from the fire, the fire shall yet consume them, ^eand you will know that I am the Lord, ^fwhen I set my face against them.

Ezekiel 20:47-48

47 Say to the forest of the Negeb, Hear the word of the Lord: Thus says the Lord God, Behold, ^gI will kindle a fire in you, and it shall devour every ^hgreen tree in you and every ⁱdry tree. The blazing flame shall not be quenched, and ^jall faces from south to north shall be scorched by it. 48 ^kAll flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.”

Ezekiel 22:18-22

18 ^l“Son of man, the house of Israel has become ^mdross to me; all of them are ⁿbronze and tin and iron and lead in the furnace; they are ^odross of silver. 19 Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have all become dross, therefore, behold, I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem. 20 As one gathers silver and bronze and iron and lead and tin into a furnace, ^pto blow the fire on it in order to melt it, so I will gather you ^qin my anger and in my wrath, and I will put you in and melt you. 21 I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of my wrath, and you shall be melted in the midst of it. 22 As silver is melted in a furnace, so you shall be melted in the midst of it, and you shall know that I am the Lord; ^rI have poured out my wrath upon you.”

Revelation of John 18:8

8 For this reason her plagues will come ^sin a single day,
death and mourning and famine,
and ^tshe will be burned up with fire;
for ^umighty is the Lord God who has judged her.”
